In November an arson lit several fires in the mountains surrounding Chattanooga. There hadn’t been much rain, so the fires burned for weeks. A thick fog, a white sky.
Rachel contacted me wanting engagement photos with warm fall colors, and our backdrop was this fog. Fascinating, remarkable, the product of a destructive act, yet still and beautiful. On the drive from downtown Chattanooga to Sunset Rock, we saw small fires along the interstate.
We ended up with some gorgeous portraits. It’s not every day you get to stand on an overlook with just a white sky behind you.
