Joy, Bryson, Echo and I first met at Jacobson Park for holiday card photos before heading out to do couples portraits at Shakertown. We wanted to go to the waterfall just outside Shakertown, but the creek had flooded and we didn’t want to get our feet wet. This is my advice for other photographers: find out whether the footpath has flooded before you make the drive all the way to Shaker Village. Just kidding. Fortunately, there are plenty of other beautiful spots to take photos, and we also had the best sunset lighting I’ve photographed in all year.
It was so, so cold outside. Echo even had a green sweater to keep warm in. You cannot tell in the photos because Joy and Bryson are amazing models.
